Tired of Dentures That Won't Cooperate?
If any of this sounds familiar, there's a more comfortable way forward.
What Waiting Costs You
Bone Loss Continues
Your jawbone keeps shrinking without stimulation, changing facial shape over time.
Dentures Get Looser
As bone shrinks, your current dentures fit worse and slip more often.
Eating Gets Harder
Restricted food choices affect both nutrition and the joy of eating.
Confidence Slips Away
Avoiding social situations becomes a habit that's tough to break.
Treatment Gets Complex
Severe bone loss may require grafting before implants are possible.
Time You Can't Recover
Months of frustration pile up while better options sit waiting.
Acting sooner means simpler treatment and a faster return to comfortable eating.
How Snap-In Dentures Work
Snap-in dentures, also called implant-supported dentures, are a removable tooth replacement that locks onto dental implants placed in your jawbone. A small number of titanium posts serve as anchors, and your custom denture clicks securely into place using attachments on the underside. The result is a denture that feels solid and stable, not floating on your gums.
At Borderview Family Dental, we use 3D CT scans and digital impressions to plan each implant placement with precision. Our approach to snap-in dentures in Blaine, WA combines careful surgical planning with custom fabrication, so your final teeth fit naturally and function comfortably from day one.

What to Expect with Snap-In Dentures
Consultation and Imaging
You'll meet with one of our dentists to discuss your goals and review your oral health. Using 3D CT scans and digital impressions, we map your jawbone structure and plan implant placement with precision. You'll leave with a clear understanding of your treatment plan, timeline, and what to expect next.
Treatment Planning and Preparation
If extractions or bone grafting are needed, we'll handle them first to set you up for success. Your custom treatment plan accounts for the number of implants, denture design, and healing timeline. We answer every question so you feel prepared and confident heading into placement day.
Implant Placement
On placement day, we'll numb the area completely so you stay comfortable throughout. Two to four titanium posts are positioned in the densest parts of your jawbone using the digital plan we created together. Most patients say the appointment felt easier than they expected, with manageable sensations and a calm pace.
Healing and Integration
Over the next several months, your implants fuse with your jawbone (a process called osseointegration) to create a stable foundation. You'll wear a temporary denture during this phase. We check in regularly to monitor healing and answer any questions, keeping you supported the entire time.
Final Denture Placement
Once healing is complete, we take final digital impressions and craft your custom denture. At placement, your new teeth snap securely onto the implants. You'll leave with a stable, natural-feeling smile and detailed guidance for daily care and routine checkups.

Recovery After Snap-In Dentures
First 24-48 Hours
Expect mild swelling and tenderness around the implant sites, easily managed with rest and over-the-counter pain relief. Stick to soft foods and skip strenuous activity. Most patients return to gentle daily routines the following day.
First 1-2 Weeks
Swelling fades and the surgical sites continue to heal. You'll eat soft foods initially and gradually reintroduce more variety as comfort improves. Mild tenderness is normal and decreases noticeably each day. Most patients describe this phase as easier than expected.
Long-Term Healing
Over the following three to six months, your implants fully integrate with your jawbone, forming a stable foundation. You'll continue routine activities throughout this period while wearing a temporary denture. Regular check-ins help us track progress and confirm everything is on schedule.
